Training for the “Big Dance”

Now into my second week of marathon training for the Gold Coast Marathon. Hard to believe I used to train for marathons and run them prior to being on my Medtronic insulin pump. Instead of finishing a training session with blood sugars of 1.2 and battling to stand up (or worse) I’m finishing with perfect sugars and enjoying the challenge of the training. Over the weeks and months to come I will be blogging about the highs, lows and no doubt share some silly happenings along my road to the “big dance” on the 5th July. Which is really only a training run for my biggest challenge yet running 203.5kms from Country Club Tasmania in the states North to Wrest Point Casino in the states South in three and half days to raise funds to help children living with type one diabetes.
